Lauren Greenfield, Nadav Kander, and Art Streiber to be published in American Photography’s new photo annual

Congratulations to Lauren Greenfield, Nadav Kander, and Art Streiber, whose work will be published in American Photography‘s new photo annual, AI31. More than 9,000 images were submitted to the competition, and only 326 were selected by a majority vote to appear in AP31. Below, their winning images…

“Gone Girls: Human Trafficking on the Home Front,” Los Angeles magazine, October 2014. Two young women use their phones’ flashlights to obscure their faces while being photographed waiting for johns along South Figueroa Street in Los Angeles. Lieutenant Andre Dawson, a detective of the Los Angeles Police Department’s Human Trafficking unit, identifies the women as sex workers and says the average age of prostitutes in Los Angeles is 12 years old.
