Art Streiber and Lauren Greenfield to appear this month at PDN PhotoPlus Expo

We’re really looking forward to PDN PhotoPlus Expo later this month. On October 22, Lauren Greenfield will deliver a keynote address called “Fast Forward to the American Dream.” The award-winning photographer and director will introduce her latest work, “WEALTH: The Influence of Affluence,” a 25-year examination of how the ideas of wealth and the American dream have been commodified, exported, and manifested around the globe. The presentation, scheduled for 12:30 to 1:30 p.m., is sponsored by Canon. More details here.

And on October 23, Art Streiber will moderate the panel discussion “The State of Editorial Photography,” which will feature five top directors of photography: Catriona Ni Aolain of Men’s Journal, Krista Prestek, of GQ, Maggie Kennedy of Garden & Gun, Sarah Rozen of Women’s Health, and Clinton Cargill of Bloomberg Businessweek. The panel will discuss everything from getting your work in front of today’s magazine photo editors to the fine points of completing an assignment. Art will show behind-the-scenes imagery from magazine assignments produced for a few of his photo director panelists and then lead the group in a discussion that covers both the creative and logistical aspects of editorial photography.
