On Saturday, November 14, Timothy Greenfield-Sanders will be screening and discussing his new documentary, The Women’s List, with producer Chad Thompson at the third annual Women & Fashion FilmFest in New York City. The film features interviews with 15 trailblazers who have created and defined contemporary American culture, including former U.S. Secretary of State Madeleine Albright, lawyer Gloria Allred, comedian Margaret Cho, actress Edie Falco, fashion designer Betsey Johnson, singer-songwriter Alicia Keys, and TV producer and writer Shonda Rhimes.
The festival, which is endorsed by UNESCO’s International Council for Film, Television & Audiovisual Communication for its artistic and socially minded programming, will screen a total of 24 films and Web series and is presenting panels discussions on subjects ranging from “Start-up Women: Women Paving New Paths in Film, Entertainment and New Media” to “The Art of Fashion and Film Branding and Public Relations Benefits.” Timothy’s panel is being organized in coordination with PBS, which broadcast The Women’s List in September as part of its “American Masters” series.
On November 12, Timothy will also be an honorary host—along with former models Pat Cleveland and Trish Goff, designer Anna Sui, and others—of the fest’s opening reception at Seaport Studios on 19 Fulton Street.
