Oscar buzz for Jimmy Chin’s “Meru”
The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences has announced that Jimmy Chin‘s award-winning documentary, Meru, is one of 15 films chosen to move forward in the voting for Oscar consideration. There were 124 films originally submitted for the documentary category, so this is quite an accomplishment. The next step is for the members of the Documentary Branch to select five nominees from this shortlist of 15 (see the list here). We’re rooting for you, Jimmy!
