You’re invited: Nadav Kander to lecture in Chicago on April 5 and to do a gallery talk in New York City on April 9

Nadav Kander will be in Chicago and New York this month for a series of events. On Tuesday, April 5, at 6 p.m., he’ll be giving a lecture presented by the Museum of Contemporary Photography and the Department of Photography at Columbia College Chicago. The talk will take place on campus at Stage Two, 618 S Michigan Ave., and is open to the public. Further details here.

On Thursday, April 7, the Flowers Gallery in Chelsea will be hosting an opening reception for “Dust,” Nadav’s most recent fine-art project, which explores the vestiges of the Cold War through the radioactive ruins of secret cities on the border between Kazakhstan and Russia. The show, which runs through May 7, marks the first time the work has been exhibited in New York. The reception is from 6 to 8 p.m at Flowers Gallery, 529 W. 20th St., between 10th and 11th avenues, and is also open to the public.

Lastly, on Saturday, April 9, collector and curator Bill Hunt will interview Nadav at Flowers. “In Conversation: Nadav Kander and Bill Hunt” is open to the public and begins at 4 p.m. Please RSVP to newyork@flowersgallery.com. For more information on “Dust,” please visit flowersgallery.com.
