Timothy Greenfield-Sanders’ new documentary, “The Trans List,” to screen tonight in Seattle

Award-winning photographer and filmmaker Timothy Greenfield-Sanders recently completed his latest identity-exploring documentary project, this time focusing on high-profile members of the transgender community. In The Trans List, trans author and advocate Janet Mock interviews a diverse group of individuals—including Caitlyn Jenner and Laverne Cox—who share their perspectives on identity, family, career, love, struggle, and accomplishment. The movie will make its broadcast debut on HBO in December but has been screening at various festivals this past year.

Tonight, The Trans List will make its Seattle debut at SIFF Cinema, in an event presented by HBO Documentary Films, SIFF, and Twist. The screening, which will also feature filmmaker Jon Alpert’s documentary Mariela Castro’s March: Cuba’s LGBT Revolution, is free, but an RSVP is required. Visit siff.net/cinema/trans-list for details. For Trans List updates, follow the movie’s Facebook page: facebook.com/TheTransList/.
