Hollywood Reporter showers Art Streiber’s “Hawaii Five-0” ad with love
Getting people thirsty for the new Hawaii Five-0—that was the purpose of Art’s ads for CBS. But viewers aren’t the only ones whose appetites were whetted by his splashy photos. In “The Live Feed’s Best & Worst Fall TV Ads Graded,” The Hollywood Reporter gives Hawaii Five-0 an A.

“The ad screams confidence,” writes James Hibberd. “What’s cool is how minimalist this is. Look at what’s not here: There are no palm trees. No sky. No sand, or swimsuits. No cheesy cop iconography, like guns or badges. Just the show’s stars — who look great — along with the title and one of the most interesting photographs of water I’ve seen.”
