The February issue of Town & Country offers an unconventional—but still unimpeachably elegant—take on posh party-guest style with the feature “The End of the Affair.” The tantalizing setup: “It was a party people talked about for weeks: whose stockings were striped, whose sapphires shined bright, whose pants were diamond-studded. But under that perfectly set table lay a whole other set of stories.”
The feature, shot by Art Streiber at Drive In Studios in New York City, opens with an incredible spread that took a tremendous amount of planning and plotting to produce, since it had to run seamlessly across two pages. I stopped by the shoot, and I could see that the storyboard alone was a major project.
Art worked with Lesley Williams, Town & Country‘s photo director; Edward Leida, design director; and Alexandra Kotur, the creative director. Here’s a look, along with a photo of Art and the storyboard he and his team created to pull off this photographic feat (feet?).
