Celebrity photographer Jeff Lipsky has worked with everyone from Kerry Washington and Shakira to Zac Efron, but along the way he has also become a favorite of the country-music industry. Jeff has photographed just about all of country’s biggest stars: Blake Shelton, Carrie Underwood, Alan Jackson, Tim McGraw, Keith Urban, Lee Ann Rimes, Kenny Chesney, and on and on. Is there a difference between shooting Hollywood A-listers versus those of Nashville? Now’s your chance to find out.
On Thursday, June 5, Jeff will be sharing his “Nashville Stories” at the Annenberg Space for Photography in Los Angeles. The lecture, part of the museum’s popular Iris Nights series, coincides with the Annenberg’s current exhibition, “Country: Portraits of an American Sound,” which will be on view May 31 through September 28.
In his lecture, Jeff will reflect on his approach to photographing country artists in Nashville and celebrities in Los Angeles. “He will share his personal anecdotes on interacting with personalities such as Keith Urban, Blake Shelton, Carrie Underwood, Jon Hamm, Sharon Stone, Zac Efron, and Kerry Washington and other musicians, celebrities and athletes,” notes the Annenberg.
Registration opens at noon PDT on May 28. Admission is free, but seating is limited. Go here to reserve your ticket.
